Why I do this work.

I came into real estate the way most LGBTQ+ realtors do — through my own first home purchase. Tara and I bought our first place in Metro San Diego because it was the neighborhood we wanted to raise our kids in. The agent we worked with was kind but did not know what to do with the joint-title questions, the lender questions, the school-district family-structure questions.

I built this practice so the next LGBTQ+ couple, family, or first-time buyer would not have to translate. Community context is part of the service, not an add-on.

I am also a top 3% producer in one of the most competitive markets in the country. The niche does not replace the work — it informs it. Most of my buyer clients land in Hillcrest, North Park, Mission Hills, or South Park. About a third arrive from out of state. About 12–18% of the homes my clients buy never hit the MLS.

Real estate is not the only place I put my time. I'm deeply involved with local San Diego non-profits — the neighborhoods I sell into are the neighborhoods I show up for outside the deal too. Community support is part of how I do this work, not a side project.

Getting here also took work that had nothing to do with houses. The personal-development work — therapy, coaching, hard reps and harder conversations — is the foundation under everything else on this page. The career is downstream of who I have done the work to become.
